RIP Lord Victor Nefarius (aka Nefarian).
They said we would never down Ragnaros. Then they said we would never down Nefarian. Once again, HnB has proven the critics wrong by clearing BWL and downing Nefarian in less than six weeks.
Ragnaros Down...TWICE!
With the recent influx of our friends from Impulse, HnB was able to run simulataneous MC clears followed by an 11:30PM Onxyia kill.
Watch out world bosses, the zerg is upon you.
Ossirian Down.
HnB has never been very serious about AQ20. There was a pervasive opinion within the guild that "other than the class books, the loot sucks". Regardless of this, we decided to clear the instance just to prove we could. The result? Ossirian dead on the second pull with no deaths.
Chromaggus Down.
Our third run through BWL finally allowed us to accumulate enough Hourglass Sand to handle the Time Lapse. This was a fun fight, and a departure from the typical Blizzard "Tank and Spank" encounter model. Nefarian is next on the HnB hit list.
Thunderfury. Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.
After BWL, we took a small detour to Silithus and completed Giterdone's Thunderfury. A boss so nice, we killed him twice. <3 to the Suffer members who cleared trash while watching the show.
Ebonroc Down. Flamegor Down. TL Chromaggus to 5%.
HnB continues its march to Nefarian by first-pull killing the two remaining drakes. We then moved on to a Time Lapse Chromaggus, who we got to 5% before running out of Hourglass Sand. I guess that is the price we pay for only being on our second BWL timer. Please note the picture of Ebonroc has been digitally edited due to an unnamed Rogue (Xherdas) ninja'ing his scales before the screen shot.
Broodlord Down. Firemaw Down.
In our best night ever in BWL, HnB downs Razor, Vael, and Broodlord on first pulls. Firemaw wiped us at 1% on the first HnB pull ever, but went down shortly thereafter.
Vaelastrasz Down
HnB ends its second night in BWL with both Razorgore (again) and Vaelastrasz dead. Vael died after the Pally DPS left him standing at 1% on the second pull. Where is Esuvee when you REALLY need a Critadin?
Razorgore Down
HnB ends its first night ever in BWL with Razorgore dead. Grats to all HnB members (past and present) who contributed to this achievement. Let's move forward to Vael and beyond...
R.I.P. Ragnaros, Firelord of Molten Core
In what turned out to be an anticlimactic moment, HnB destroys Ragnaros on our second pull ever. We heard he was hard, but (and I know this sounds cocky) we were pretty disappointed in how easy the encounter really was. No external buffs (Ony/Hakkar/BRS/Blasted Lands) were used in the fight, and we still got him to 33% before the Sons of Flame spawned. Needless to say, there was no second spawn.
Hakkar Down.
The epics this guy drops makes him totally worth the three hours effort every three days. Besides, he is one of the most enjoyable fights in the game.
Majordomo Submits.
After schooling Bolian as to the use of the 'Shield Block' spell, Majordomo gives up his pirate treasure chest (ARR!). Rumor has it that Ragnaros was not pleased...
Ding, Dong, The Bitch is DEAD!
In yet another stunning accomplishment, HnB downs Onyxia with 33 people in our first instance. After pulls one and two with 30 people ended with her at 9% and 5% respectively, we invited three more DPS classes and killed her with two total deaths.
She never had a chance.
Golemagg The Incinerator Down.
More like "Golemagg the Epix Slot Machine". At least he delivered some decent loot with a ToEP, and the Lawbringer Chestguard. Another first pull/first kill. Two thumbs down for difficulty.
Sulfuron Harbinger Down.
Even though he coughed up Vendorstrike (now known as Nexxus Strike), we still <3 ol' Sulfy. First pull, first kill like nearly every other boss in MC so far.
Shazzrah Down.
One more down, three more to go until Ragnaros. HnB dispatches Shazzrah on our first try ever, and finally get Rom a piece of Nightslayer he didn't already own.
Baron Geddon Down.
HnB swings the bat at the loot pinata we like to call Molten Core, and it delivers. The Baron was down on our first attempt after clearing to (and downing) him in less than two hours. You can check out the sweet, sweet Epix candy that dropped in the "HnB News" box. -->
Garr Down.
On only our second Molten Core timer, we have progressed to and downed Garr.
Now if we could just get the bosses to stop dropping Felheart and Cenarion...
